Protection on and off
Switch a room's protection on or off instantly, pause entry, let people in early, or send everyone back to the line.
Every room has a Protection switch at the top of its Live tab. Your snippet stays installed either way.
- On: visitors only wait when more than your capacity arrive. Most of the time nobody waits at all.
- Off: everyone goes straight through. Anyone already waiting is let in on their next update. Nothing touches the queue, so this is also the cheapest state.
Changes reach visitors within a few seconds.
Live controls
| Control | What happens |
|---|---|
| Pause entry | Nobody is let in; new arrivals still join the line and keep their place. |
| Admit next N | Lets the next N people in now, on top of the normal rate. |
| Start a pre-queue | Holds everyone until you open the doors, then lets them in at capacity (shuffled, in lottery mode). |
| Emergency | Every pass already issued stops working within seconds; those visitors rejoin at the back. People waiting keep their place. |
All of these are also available from the REST API.
